About us Tervex Substrats, S.L. manufactures professional substrates, vegetal soils for gardening and sells all kinds of products for gardening and exterior decoration. In the semi-professional and amateur range, we also offer our products packaged in several presentation bags (from 10L to 70L) with our own brand TERVEX.
History
To place the origins of our company, we must go back to 1979 when we set up the business to the agroforestry sector and we started to commercialize and transport /deliver forestry industry by-products such as pine bark, heather leaves, wood chips, sawdust ... used as fuel or as livestock beddings.
Later on, under the brand Xurri Terres Vegetals S.L., we began to shred these materials and compost them in order to obtain quality vegetable soil for gardening and horticulture. Then, those soils were evolved to be used for professional substrate manufacturing for nursery businesses.
Since then, we have worked together with our customers attending their needs, varying the compositions of the soils, testing new materials, analysing in the laboratory and testing the substrates to find the most suitable one.
Due to the company’s constant growing and the evolution in the substrates business, we decided to take on new future challenges changing our brand and image: TERVEX.
In this new stage the R&D investment was increased. A new packaging line was installed, and a new department was created for the commercialization of garden accessories.
In recent years, a new installation has been incorporated to produce pine bark and its derivatives.
In short, we are evolving to continue to gain the trust of our customers, our reason to continue progressing.

In an ever-changing sector like ours, we must offer advice to our clients. We set the following goals:
- Advise and recommend the most suitable substrate depending on each client’s cultivation needs, either with our Standard Substrates or with custom-made substrates.
- Constantly inform about our products which are incorporated into the substrates manufacture to improve their efficiency and to obtain the perfect substrate.
- • Advise gardeners and amateurs about the gardening products that we commercialize besides our vegetal soil which we are improving with the most appropriate compositions in each situation.

Tervex R&D evolves at the same pace as the rest of the business activities. The department is formed by a specialized human team that allows us to offer top quality products and improve our customer service.
In our laboratory we carry out the following tasks:
- The raw materials, that are the basis of our substrates, are qualified and analysed.
- Field analysis are carried out over the control of the composting process.
- The new released on the market substrates are tested here
