Fertilizing perennial plants in spring
Spring arrives!
Spring arrives, we feel the temperatures rising and the days getting longer. We can see the vines with their first leaves and the red poppies decorating the fields. All this is evident to the naked eye, but what happens to our plants?
At this time the plants resume their biological activity after a long period of dormancy. For this, plants use the energy reserves that they accumulated over the past summer. This is why it is ideal to fertilize crops and gardens at this time of the year. By implementing this practice we allow the plants to resume optimal growth and restore their reserves for the following year, in addition to obtaining abundant and vigorous blooms.
Carrying out a fertilization plan is necessary for all types of cultivated plants, since the nutrients are consumed by them and are not restored as in a natural system. Additionally, over time the physical characteristics of your land may deteriorate. For this reason, we recommend to our clients to use our organic amendments.
We have amendments based on vegetables and manure (compost). This material undergoes a revaluation process called composting, which sanitizes the raw material and transforms its nutrients, making them available for plants, in addition to increasing its beneficial microbiology! For this reason, they are ideal for increasing the physical, chemical and biological fertility of your land, providing nutrients, organic matter and structure.
And do you fertilize your plants every spring? Do you know more benefits of organic amendments and compost?
